The participation of women in political decision-making structures is very insignificant. Today the proportion of women elected and appointed into political office is well below 30%. This situation looks very ugly for our country; where women are not considered fit to lead as obtained in other societies. Institutional as well as cultural, economic, and societal factors limit women's opportunities and abilities to participate in decision-making.
